The SPLC hates any one who's not a person of color or if he or she is white and not a Marxist, then they are labeled a racist or a hate group. You also quote Supervisory Border Patrol Agent Jose Maheda. If you were to ask your rank and file U.S. Border Patrolmen who are actually on the border, the majority support the Minutemen. And being called vigilantes is suppose to be bad ? May be you should brush up on your American history. It was vigilantes who brought law and order to the west including Wyoming. The Minutemen are just doing the job that the government refuses to do. " .
Proposition 1 Analysis: No vote won't make traffic woes go away
Maybe it will swing back? I doubt it.A coworker said it plainly a year ago. What Seattle needs is a good, East Coast politician who just gets things done. You know, "We're doing this, no questions. Get it done." Otherwise, we're never going to find a perfect solution, and when you're bleeding like a stuck pig, you don't turn down a modern doctor and his sutures because you're waiting for Doctor McCoy. .
Hubble captures dance of the galaxies
The larger galaxy on the right is seen nearly face-on, with a giant arm of stars, dust and gas reaching out and around its smaller neighbour, which is viewed edge-on. The shapes of both galaxies have been distorted by their gravitational interaction with one another. The pair are known collectively as Arp 87, and are just one celestial coupling among hundreds of interacting and merging galaxies known in the nearby universe. Arp 87 was first discovered and catalogued by the astronomer Halton Arp in the 1970s, and was described in Arp's Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies. The Hubble image, a composite of red, blue, green and infra-red exposures, was taken using the telescope's wide field planetary camera 2. It shows a corkscrewing bridge of material spanning from one galaxy to the other, suggesting stars and gas are being drawn from the larger galaxy into the gravitational pull of the smaller one.
Driver in Halberstam crash gets 5 days in jail
He later turned to long-form writing and wrote 21 books, including "The Best and the Brightest," about how the United States became involved in Vietnam. Julia Halberstam, in her letter, said her father was self-deprecating about his skills. "He used to tell me he wasn't as talented as other writers," she wrote, "but he worked harder." Coach's Corner: Santos in eighth year at soph helm
My junior year we took second and my senior year we went undefeated in league and finished second in the (Sac-Joaquin Section) and lost our (Northern California playoff) game by one point all the way up in Redding. We played our section championship game at UC Davis. Now the girls play those games at Arco Arena; we got Davis, but it was still exciting. UD: The section final that year, a 50-42 loss to Del Oro of Loomis, was frustrating for Sonora. AS: Our center, Anne Zimmerman, got into foul trouble. We should have won that game. UD: How did you get into coaching? AS: I ran in to Shelly Kiriluk (then the head sophomore coach) one day and she asked if I would come down and be her assistant. When she left I became the head coach (in 2000-01). UD: Kiriluk, who returned as the varsity assistant last season, is an outstanding coach.
Timber Industry 1991-2000
From the very start of capitalism in Russia, the forests in Siberia and the Archangelsk region, as well as in other parts of Russia, interested would-be capitalists no less than oil, gas, and aluminum. However, the timber industry's first decade passed surprisingly quietly: it very quickly became clear that the industry was too conservative to allow investors to make fast money. Trees grow slowly, and only entrepreneurs who are prepared to work without visible profits for at least five years succeed in the industry. 1991 The history of the timber industry began when the Russian Timber Exchange was established at the beginning of the year. Soon there also appeared the Timber Exchange and other specialized and unspecialized exchanges dealing in timber. None of them were successful and ended up trading export quotas for timber and lumber rather than timber itself, and after liberalization of exports, peacefully passed away.
Blacks more likely to get HIV/AIDS
The NAACP, the National Urban League and other groups Thursday urged Congress to repeal a 20-year-old ban on federal funding for needle-exchange programs, the Associated Press reported. More than 200 such programs have been established locally and regionally across the country, with the aim of slowing the rate of HIV infection among drug addicts who might otherwise use contaminated needles. Advocacy groups say the ban on federal funding leaves many of the programs in a shaky financial position while deterring many state and local officials from supporting needle exchange, the AP reported. South Carolina does not have a needle-exchange program. There is some heroin use here, but most of the illegal drug use does not involve injections, King said. "It's not significant to the point where you would have to have a needle-exchange program," she said.

La Nina and severe weather in the Ohio Valley...there seems to be a bond between the two entities. Much like the bond between Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, or Daryl Hall and John Oates, or maybe even Ed McMahon and Johnny Carson. You get the idea. Just for review, La Nina is the abnormal cooling of the tropical Pacific waters that usually spells warm and wet weather for the Blue Grass state. But when that warm, moist air clashes with colder, drier air to the north, stronger-than-normal storm systems for mid-winter standards tend to be the result. The past tells us a La Nina pattern can be a recipe for trouble in this part of the world. Sure enough, history repeated itself on February 5th. The "Super Tuesday Outbreak" was one for the ages! Now I won't rehash all the stats about that deadly night in this post (our links about that are on the weather page just below the forecast discussion), but I want to discuss how similar our current pattern is to another La Nina season: 1973-1974.
